How Can Coaches Serve Entrepreneurs?
Entrepreneurship has become very trendy. I realized that more people consider becoming their own bosses, influencing the world, and having a more purposeful life. I love to work with people who aim to dream big, never settle, and want to change the world. They always inspire me to think out of the box and try harder.
However, becoming an entrepreneur is not easy. It is a giant leap for most of us who used to work for others. I have worked with several clients destined to be entrepreneurs and tried very hard to become one with ups and downs, failures and successes. When I started to work with them and helped them understand themselves better, they all, interestingly, realized something in common; if they had known themselves better before starting businesses, some of the failures they experienced in the past might have been avoided.
Entrepreneur candidates must know their strengths. Once you see your talents, your values, and your skills, plus your passions, you will find the sweet spots for your business. One common mistake is starting a business only based on your passions. Passions will eventually fade if you don't have the required talents and skills. Often, people start to question themselves about their ability to be an entrepreneur after experiencing a failure. Also, you have to make sure that you are doing a business that aligns with your values. I did not see anyone who can thrive in a business they don't value for a long time because we, human beings, naturally need meanings and purposes for our lives.

Moreover, as an entrepreneur, you have to figure out your challenges. If you have no clue about your weaknesses, you will likely fall into the pitfalls designed for you, and sometimes, you need to spend a lot of time and money to learn that hard way. It is also essential for entrepreneurs who consider having a business partner. The most thoughtful way to find a business partner is to have someone who can cover your weaknesses/potential challenges so that you can focus on different subjects and strategically operate the company as a team.
Before you start your brand-new and exciting journey as an entrepreneur, it is crucial to have a clear picture of who you are. The wisdom of knowing yourself will help you avoid some of the pitfalls and failures in your challenging but rewarding entrepreneurship in the near future!
